Environmental Economics is taught for a variety of classes (sometimes in Dutch, sometimes in English). The material covered is composed mostly from following chapters:
The textbook used is in Dutch: Aviel Verbruggen, 2008. Economische benadering van milieu en milieubehoud. Garant, Antwerpen-Apeldoorn, 211p. The lectures are supported by English-version slides-packages; many slides are in colour and with animation to show the logic of graphs and processes. Teachers that would adopt the textbook for their courses can obtain free access to the slide packages. Complementary to the course training, students can register for a seminar that provides an opportunity to investigate a particular environmental issues more in detail (on the DPSI@R format), or organize a debate on themes of high interest (e.g. climate change). |
