Background

Because my research has been divided between applied advisory reports and journal articles, I did not focus a lot on the edition of books as such.

In the period 1993-98 I edited the three first state-of-the-environment reports for Flanders published as books. The first one "Leren om te Keren" was even quite succesful with more than 6000 exemplaries distributed.

Also I contributed with chapters to a number of english books edited by colleagues in one of the research clusters of my interest (see my "List of Publications" under 'about Aviel').

In 2008 I published two books in Dutch:

Aviel Verbruggen. Economische benadering van milieu en milieubehoud. Garant, Antwerpen-Apeldoorn, 211p. ISBN 978-90-441-2246-6 (textbook on environmental economics with a focus on policy instruments)

Aviel Verbruggen. De ware energiefactuur. Houtekiet, Antwerpen / Amsterdam, 292p. ISBN 978 90 8924 017 0 (generalizing lessons from energy research to come to a sustainable energy economy; for a wider audience with interest in this topic). A short article was published in ENERGIE+ to present this book.
